Exam Room Jitters. Poem by MaddiiAnne O'Leary

Exam Room Jitters.

Pacing Teachers, Slaming bathroom doors,
Signs of the Exam Jitters.
2B pencils, Scribbling paper;
Objects to keep the peace.
Paper planes, books, poetry;
Signs of restless teens.
Tapping feet, yawns, planes flying across the room;
Five minutes to go!
Checking papers, writing things down, papers in their places;
Three minutes to go!
Pencil marks, erasers, pencil sharpenings;
All common signs of an exam room.
Sighing, smiles across the room;
Exam papers finished.
Laughter, giggles, loud voices;
Exams are done and we're out the door.
