Exchange Rate For Lego Poem by Simon Gowen

Exchange Rate For Lego

Rating: 5.0

It’s my first day at school today
My mom’s just bought me in
I’ve just met all the boys and girls
And so we will begin

First lesson was on counting
And I’m sat next to Gina
So I count my blessings straight away
That the other boys ain’t see her

She makes me feel all Fizzy
I blush when she’s around
I want to ask her questions
But we mustn’t make a sound

And now the bell has sounded
We all go out to play
She tells me I can kiss her
But she’s just asked me to pay!

I have 4 bits of Lego
As I showed her in my hand
I’ve got a car and top trump cards
Tied with a rubber band

I’ll take the Lego First, she said
I agreed to pay the price
Now I am in love with Gina
She’s pretty, blonde, and nice!

The years rolled by
My school days passed
I’m getting on with life
But the girl I kissed for Lego, has just become my wife!
