Exposed Poem by Marion Wambui

Exposed

She was only a girl searching for freedom,
Sophistication was not on her mind.
Bound and strapped down by her own life, She desired freedom,
Freedom from knowledge.
She wanted her innocence back,
She did not want to know anymore.
She wished she could be naive again,
To giggle at every flatter,
But know she knew better,
Too better.
