You say that you love me
But do I know it
As much as you tell me that you care for me
How do you show it
You take up for me
Say you'd shed your blood for me
Take offense on my behalf
What else can I take it to be
We fuss
We fight
We argue at night
Sometimes it's out of sight
Out of mind
May be blindsided
By the signs of
Love
Animosity
Confusion
Frustration
Lack of trust
Caring for one another
Intimacy
Caught in a rapture, lost in a whirlwind
That's how I feel is your love for me
Wanna be with me for eternity and wife me
Having babies
Declaring me the queen
Wanting to share your life with me
When love calls
Do we accept it
Or do we decline it all
And take that tremendous fall
Into the depths of the breaking point:
Judgements
Criticism
Degrading statements
Disrespect
Tempers & fighting
If you say that this ain't the ordinary way
THen why would you stay
In the disarray ofthis trying way
If the love still exists
And the spark is still there
Forgetting about the past
Hoping this will last
