Facets Of Brilliance
The jewels majestically throne on
The flexible and slim feminine fingers,
Clearly reflecting the cut and contour:
Multiple facets fluctuate with the light—
Igniting the woman's heart: brilliant
Multitudes of emotions of being; —of being
In her own skin: —on her skin.
I feel fire and love, in the ruby-ring of
My right-hand forefinger;
A darker shade of red is,
The garnet, on the index finger of my left hand:
There, near the heart: it used to be love—it has left!
Now, it points to the wound…
The ruby, on the other hand, —the right hand,
Is naive, and believes in the ‘right one':
It knows it will come—come along
When least expected;
It has a better dexterity: it is the right one!
My fingertips become erogenous
As they are typing these thoughts:
The scattered letters on the keyboard, form
The name of my former lover…
Today, it is the romantic Valentine's Day! —
Valerian for an induced sleeping, or
The sensual sleep of love…?
It is ridiculous to hope for fantasies…!
But, there is telepathy and serendipity!
There is mind over matter! —Let me dream…!
I shall decorate my fingers with more rings!
—Not the ring finger! —No!
That one fears the strangulation
Of an impossibly infinite love:
I shall ornament the words I write
With metaphors, and poetical jewels;
I shall let the crepuscular oblique light
Glide sensually, upon the facets
Of my thoughts, with refracting meaning:
The symbols shall spellbind
The orbs of your eyes with mental fervency:
Your heart shall palpitate,
Upon the melodious rhythms of
Your secret desires…
You shall see the silhouette of my body
In my written words…
—No! —you do not hallucinate!
I am here with you!
I am the subliminal whisper inside your mind:
I am the surreal symbol of your love!
I am sipping ruby wine with you…
Whilst you read me:
You see, —you know how to read me! —
For you once had my heart! —
I am an open book for you!
Keep me by your table de chevet,
And let my poems shiver in your heart: —
Kiss-goodnight the always-smiling lips
On the back-cover of my book, and:
Sweet dreams, my love!

Wow! What an impressive write. It requires more than one reading, and each reading exposes a little more. I am not sure I would want a Valentine like that, Ah! Whom am I kidding, of course I would love a Valentine like that, but even so as a pirate I would definitely want the ruby, in a metaphorical sense of course.
