Facts Remembered Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Facts Remembered

No longer do I participate,
In prolonged conversations...
Involving events that had taken place.

Especially when people refuse to trace,
Any evidence they left to leave...
As to why they are so compassionate.
When all they did was to seek exits.
With a means to find an easy escape.

But today they speak,
In the hopes that facts remembered...
From those listening have been erased.
