letting time fade away
a hard thing to do
never to see friends again
never to say I love you

some laugh
others cry
some smile
and pass time by

but then in the distance
you hear your name
so you turn back
to take your blame

life is full of surprises
as you then see
there's no blame to take
but you've been set free

you thought you didwrong
but you've known right
but this you're mistaken
you've been right all along.
