Faded Dreams Poem by hajara abdul khader

Faded Dreams

Rating: 2.5

Glancing through the orb of life
I see shades of my dreams
Miles away from me, forgotten decades ago,
Like snow-covered mist in freezing winter,
Whirling like a tornado
Into the farthest point of history.
Like the crumbling pages of an ancient book
With the most delicate touch tear away from me;
Filling the hour-glass with the dust of Arabia
Bring forth the end of life.
Posing like the ever shining stars in the sky
Twinkle with the beauty of the persisting pattern.
Secluded from the intimacy of my forlorn fingertips
Blow like windfalls into unknown destination.

Yes, Hajara, they all slip away, like one day you and I will too.
