Faded Dreams Poem by Joshua Swanson

Faded Dreams

I was what I
I was will be
be but never could
could never see
see light that stabs
stabs light that be
be deep in broken
irony

What dreams once
Once what willed was
was light dark now
now darkest lost
lost lust of shards
shards crystal dropped
dropped darkest pain
pain of the lost
lost last life
life lived now lost
lost lust shines
shines icy gloss
gloss memory of
of remembered hope
hope dream cannot
cannot true be
be what I was
was what will be
be glinted light
light stabs me in
in silent sight
sight to me lost
lost faded lives
lives dreams are dim
