Fading Footprints Poem by Jean Dament

Fading Footprints

I was aware of some magic one lonesome moonlit night;
While out walking... leaving heavy footprints behind in the pristine snow,
My spirits were quite low, but all else around seemed calm & bright;
Where crystals shone all around...like sparkling diamonds all aglow;
As they twinkled in the new fallen snow..... blanketing the ground;
And for a time, this enchantment lightened my soul...creating a feeling more serene;
Where the beauty & silence took over my senses, with no more sadness found,
Then my footprints became light & muted too; as they faded into this peaceful scene.

Spiritsong,
