Fairytale Dreaming. Poem by Fay Slimm

Fairytale Dreaming.

Rating: 5.0

Beginning my daydream I close my eyes
And imagine what could be if I surmise.

Storybook pages open before me
Magical places all waiting to be
Explored, excitedly.
........................ Peopled by smiling
Gossamer fairies flying
..................................high, skyward
To follow their dreams
...................Their Lady Fey leading
Opens her colourful queenly wings,
......................................... and feeds
From her fingers
.......................droplets of moonlight
To beam down the paths
.................... of her Phantom Knight.
Who rides a star-chariot, gleaming
Like sunlight, stops
.....................as he enters the scene,
And lifts his Queen
........................... into a secret place,
Tucks her round in blankets of cloud,
........................................... and races
Away, followed by rainbows
......................... and fairy-blown tears
Of goodbye.
............. Waving they head unfearfully
For realms of togetherness in the sky.

Fairytale dreaming takes up little time.
Just close your eyes and your dreams
..................................might meet mine.
