Fairytale Love Poem by Lilly Drake

Fairytale Love

The fairytale wedding ran like clockwork
All the little angels with their rose petal
cheeks, laughing and dancing.
The Cinderella, resplendent in her bejewelled, snow white costume, the teardropp diamonds hanging...

Prince Charming, surveying his property, stalks
around like a wolf, sniffing out the weak, waiting, watching, ready to pounce.
Hiding the sly, cruel, vicious nature, trying to stop the mask
from slipping until it's time...

Tear dropp diamonds reflect the ones that begin to fall
The wedding dress, just a costume in shreds,
like her heart. The red cloak hides her terrified face,
from the deceiving Bluebeard.
