There is little consolation
for those who feel desolation
Broken only by friendship
and brief conversation
Only God knows your struggle
which you try to juggle
desperately
feeling alone in the jungle
And then one day
More is somehow taken away
and it was the only thing
you wished would stay
Life has a way of getting hard
and leaving you scarred
Once you were fine like crystal
and now feel like just a shard
Then someone comes along
and their kindness is strong
and you find yourself
singing their song
And you hope and pray
that just maybe someway
You've reached the end
that the world's turned your way
But you know deep down
Feel it when nobodys around
in the stillness of emptiness
that you heart's already skipped town
You said you would never
feel this low again ever
but truth is
You weren't so clever
Each morning you say, one more day
and then it passes away
it breaks and tears at you
but you go on trying anyway
You need someone more than a friend
for your heart to mend
but you're locked in jail
a sentence with an indefinate end
Your only hope now is to wish and long
for a love true and strong
that pierces your buttressed walls
and somehow whisks you along
Happiness may still be your end
On the wings of an angel and friend
To be your true companion
And to help your heart to mend
All you are... is dreams of love
and fairytales and and things thereof
but no one noticed your true heart
Except you're certain: God above
Fairytales can come true for those who believe
The shows not over yet; Don't leave!
Life may have a feel good tricks
Left up her sleeve
