Faithless Eyes Poem by beth brittain

Faithless Eyes

Rating: 5.0

his eyes will draw you in
like a moth drawn to a flame
his eyes so full of sorrow
his eyes so full of pain

these eyes spill tears down his face
the many times he cries
his face now full of smiles is
but a masterful disguise

but its his eyes that do betray
the way he feels inside
his eyes show for the world to see
the things he tries to hide

when he's alone all by himself
he abandons his disguise
and as you see him scream aloud
his actions match his eyes
