Fall Poem by verna ralph

Fall

Summer days are fading away
The smell of fall is in the air
Thanks Giving is drawing near
Golden wheat glistening in the sun
Trashing wheat and picking corn
Time to give thanks to the Lord
For the riches from the earth

The forest is like a picture book
Beautiful colours on display,
Everywhere you look.
Hunting season is about to begin
Football season is around the bend

New trees and shrubs are planted around
Cranberries and partridge berries cover the ground
Carving pumpkins for Halloween
Ghosts and goblins will be about
Hear the children scream!
Its time for Halloween

Back to school in the fall of the year
Children shopping for new clothes and books
Summer vacation is at its end
It, s Happy Mothers Day again

Most important day of all
Occurs Nov.11th. in the fall
Remembering soldiers that went to war
Gave their life and much more
Fought for our countries freedom
We stand proud and talll
