Fall, Baby Girl, Fall Poem by Harley Halford

Fall, Baby Girl, Fall

Rating: 5.0

You fall back, Your heart sinks,
Your breathing speeds, a tear falls with every blink.

You sit there and watch them walk away,
You open your mouth but find you have nothing to say.

You want to fly away, you want to scream,
You feel your heart rip at every seem.

You lied to your self, pretended everything was okay,
You tell your self you are on the very edge,
how you’d hate to live another day.

Walking up to the cliff, you take deep breaths,
listen to the wind and jump,
leap out to your death.

Fall, baby girl, Fall and be free.
Your only reason to stay alive turned to dust,
so fall to freedom in the beautiful sea.
