Fallen Future Poem by Andrew Tom

Fallen Future

The hope I seek
A future made to fall
The past interferes
Never wanting to let go
I watch the dust clear
I see the future is near
A vortex aligning
With the stars

A brighter day
Is what I desire
To change the past
Is to affect my future
Reality is a given
Cold as it may be
Stuck in the present hour
My future is calling me

I envision this light
An industrial site
An endangered life
About to be extinct

It's the future
I never expected
It's the future
Destroyed by hate
