Falling Poem by Nameless Dreamer

Falling

I'm falling. I'm falling.
Making my way down
I don't stop
To hit the ground.

My body it bleeds
Cut by rock and dirt
Through the pain it feeds
Drinking in the hurt

I'm falling. I'm falling.
Through earth and through sea
Is this what it's like
To really be free

Battered, bleeding, beaten, and broken
My thoughts rushing back to the words left unspoken

Thoughts lead to feelings
Feelings lead to action
A fraction of a second
Releases all passion

I try to call out
But have nothing to say
All this because
I just want to be okay

This life we live
It's far from fair
I see no hope
In the road down there

Thought rush back
To everyone
Who tried to care
Though death has won

I'm worthless now
They loved and cared
An illusion of sorts
It was never there

None of it matters
I've fallen quite far
But in their cold hearts
This event will not scar
