Falling In The Dark Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

Falling In The Dark

Rating: 0.5

The still of night shivers the soul
Splinters of ice I can feel the cold
Eyes are straining to see around
Nothing to see nothing to be found

Step by step I feel uneasy
The strike of fear feeling queasy
What isn't there to make me feel this way
Won't be there in the light of day

Hands wandering to feel the wall
Feet floundering I begin to fall
The ground rushes up but I cannot see
Rushing up fast to come and meet me

Broken bones and broken life
Nothing here but trouble and strife
It woke me up from my struggling dream
Is it all of what it seems?

Lying awake all on my own
Bleeding tears all alone
The floor touches the roof by a wall
The phone is dead no one to call

Scratching the skin off my face
What is this unhappy place?
Where to go now and who to see
When all I am in this world is me...
