Falling Leaves Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Falling Leaves

Crisp golden foliage is falling
Along every countryside lane
Poets pay homage in seasonal verse
It's 'fly-away' time once again.

Autumnal foliage is saying
'Next year will be just the same'
Each new Fall is as the first
Last year's picture is in a new frame.

The leaves say farewell so sadly.
Parting brings a sombre refrain.
But Autumn time is well rehearsed
October waves goodbye once again.
