Falling Leaves Poem by Lina Zuo

Falling Leaves

I was astonished
by watching the falling leaves

Branches and land
a few meters away

They performed
a poignant farewell
dressed like a beautiful butterfly
gently flying around

no sadness or remorse
just softly say goodbye

So we dont need to
feel sorry for them
cuase
in the meantime

They staged
a splendid return
acting like an innocent angel
happily coming down

with joy and happiness
settling into
the warmth of the motherland
