Falling Upward By: Taylor Donnelly Poem by Taylor P. Donnelly

Falling Upward By: Taylor Donnelly

Falling Upward
By: Taylor Donnelly

Here i stand so here i will fall

On top of this mountain that feels all too tall

The snow wont let up

And I've gotten mixed up

I must get away from here

All though they say there is nothing to fear

I'm cold and alone

I feel i must atone

For the terrible way i treat you in my mind

Its not awfully kind

And i know I've been blind

I keep tripping over dangerous words

They fly around my head like curious birds

Dipping and diving

Struggling and striving

Say the words to me

Whisper them to be free

Find my weakness

Light it with bluntness

Tear it apart to tear me to pieces
