False Face Poem by Dorsey Baker

False Face

To see his woman
turn to another man
completely and uncompromisingly
to laugh and play
and fulfill another mans' needs
willingly
without shame or remorse
can turn a man of sanity
into a raving maniac

to see his woman
her body stark naked
to another mans' touch
overpowering feeling
of powerlessness
foolish thoughts
pound the brain
trying to make sense
after years
a house built for love
reduced to a pile of ashes
can turn a man of sanity
into a raving maniac
