False Grin Poem by Jett Metcalf

False Grin

A smiling face looks into your eyes
Then you realize that to your suprise

This face is not full of happiness or glee
but rather hatred towards thee

The eyes keep staring with a decietful smile
a look that turns your stomach vile

you stare back uncomfortably as a reply
then the face turns and you let out a sigh

But the eyes keep staring clearly in your head
even as you lay awake in your bed

then you fall asleep and there they are crisp and clean
all while they chase you in this nightmare of a dream

But alas you do not wake from this sleep
Because the grim came early with its terryfing reap

And so it is that you shall be in heaven to plunder
Because these eyes put you six feet under
