False Strength Poem by Dani Sanders

False Strength

They think me strong.
Can’t they see that they are wrong?
I have been weak as I could be.
Could they not see to the real me?
But no, I am hiding.
My battle with pain, continuously fighting.
It comes at times but I don’t know why.
Pitiful how easily I now cry.
I want to do and get done,
Spend one more day in that sun.
Then kiss the stars goodnight,
While the moon shines on me bright.
They think me strong.
But in that category I do not belong.
