Famine Poem by Steve Hancock

Famine

Come Mortals
Mind venture with me
To the land
Of the living mortuary

Where death
Is a blessing in disguise
To the children
Of a thousand pleading eyes

Emaciation
Like hungers festoon
Sallow skin
Over skeleton strewn

Disease
A constant torment
Desperate fly’s
Drinking tears of descent

Arid river
Of desiccated bone
Propagation
Desolation ungrown

Come mortals
Mind venture with me
To a land
In the 21st century

famine is one of mother natures tools to reduce the overbreeding human race Sad but ultimately necessary

Yet others live in luxury Mindless of the misery.
