Fantasy Gone Wild

Leprechauns and fairies
Play by the brooke
If you are quiet
You may have a look
If you do
You will see
Magical creatures
Happy as can be
A tiny bridge
And croaking frogs
Golden sunlight
Moss-covered logs
Away in the woods
This site is hiding
Surrounded by trees
In which birds are singing
A nice light breeze
And springy grass
Mermaids playing instruments
Made of fine brass
Enchanting and peaceful
The trees very tall
But I haven't told you
The best part of all
I visit this place
Nearly everyday
With the fairies and leprechauns
By the brook they play

poet Edgar Allan Poe

Kind solace in a dying hour!
Such, father, is not (now) my theme-
I will not madly deem that power
Of Earth may shrive me of the sin
