Far Poem by robin machorro

running somewhere so far
you want far, but you went no where
jogging same place, every day routine
with these bricks weighing you down
not allowing you to move
while negative air takes control of you
fulling you with things untrue
but you believe it anyways
not being able to speak
of the things you think
because they say it makes you less
then what you already are
afraid of not being able to escape
of this place they had created
but today you had the chance to go your own way
a place where you knew you were safe
laying down with dreams you couldnt believe
of dreams that can never be
were you actually went far
you actually found who you are
where you want to go off in the night
with the ones you love by your side
going somewhere without a plan
not wanting to ever come back
but hours have past
going back to the place you cant stand
where they allow you to live
but can never go far
