Far Away Love

The moon in the sky, like a love so far away
It's beautiful at night but lonely in the day
Remember the stars that we watched from the hill top?
Go back now and you'll see nothing but a tear drop

I'm getting tired of you always having to lie
Even on msn, you take so damn long to reply
Can things be turned back to the way it was before?
I've always been patient but not as much anymore

I've sacrificed so much for you, just show me that you care
Let me have the feeling of gladness, not despair
Do you still have the memories of the places where we dated?
It's been so long since I last felt like I'm appreciated

The moon in the sky, like a love so far away
How do I pretend as if everything's okay?
You can see me smile but deep inside I'm mad, and sad
I'm glad to have met you, but sometimes I wished I never had

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
