Farewell Poem by MERON GELAGLE

Farewell

Our Mandela
farewell;
may angels uplift your soul
on your journey to Heaven.
I count the drops
of my tears
falling down on the ground,
far from your grave,
but I still grieve!
Father...as we all come as one
nation
to shed tears of passion
to relieve us from the sorrow within,
we pray to God to have mercy on us
for we never had your bliss
of self sacrifice!
Farewell
Mandela,
may now angels escort
you inside God's court
where more angels await.
May your eyes glow more
from high above,
sending love!
Farewell, beloved man,
goodbye, blessed soul!
Beat your drum for a hero,
Mama Africa, let it resound...its echo
for a departure
of a great nature!
