Farraige Na Héireann Poem by Emaleigh Marie

Farraige Na Héireann

Farraige na hÉireann ['Sea of Ireland' in Irish Gaelic]

Waves roar proudly,
Calling out to the night,
Crying: 'I thoghairm tú! ' ('I summon you' in Irish Gaelic)
Wind ripples the sea's chilling waters
As an answer to it's desolate request.

Waves sigh softly,
Beckoning forth the light,
The sun dominates the sky,
As it's rays dance
Across the water's surface.

The waves wash the shores,
Brushing against the rocks...
Caressing the sand.
Nothing is more untamed,
Nor more majestic,
Than the rush of
The diamond clear Irish Sea.......
