Fated To Last Poem by Fritzie Abella

Fated To Last

Torn between holding on and letting go,
our hearts are twisted in confusions and sorrow.
Should I push you away, or lock you in tight embrace?
Please answer me. No more puzzles, nor games.

Is this the end of the line?
Is it 'goodbye' we whisper this time?
Can't we make it through this test?
I thought we promised to be partners 'til the end.

Look me in the eyes and tell me
Should we fight or just let it be?
Don't hold back your tears, my beau
I am still here, though I am hurting, too.

We made a pact not so long ago
High and low, we'll make it through
True love just doesn't come and go
So keep holding on, please don't let go.

Is our love like a shooting star?
Just a glimpse of beauty then it's gone.
I thought we're the ethereal lotus
that bloom and thrive amid the swamp.

Relationships are fated to last
because brave lovers decided to fight
Our hearts are intertwined in love
but are we brave enough, my love?
