Father, Grandparents & Peace Poem by burny peter

Father, Grandparents & Peace

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday
made a visit to home

while on a duty trip

like
a convent school student
casually brushin' an electric post
with that tender hand,
which is oblivious to all that
labour one's grandparents had put in,
on the way, while hurryin' to that
information factory with a strict schedule

and met my father
who taught me to
navigate the dictionary

and he told me

Peace, now is like
an evermovin' milestone
tantalisingly dumped on the
back of a tortoise
which runs like a hare.
we chase it, only to reach 'nowhere'-
the cemetery of dreams and lovers.
