Father Of A Diabetic Child Poem by Zillur Rahman Shuvro

Father Of A Diabetic Child

Car, house and Bank balance are enough
Social status is high and my wife is beautiful.
I've only three friends: Asthma, Diabetic and Pressure
Ab initio they're busy to make blue print like intriguing
Friends how they will ravage me and stop my oxygen!
I've no significant sorrow and I'm not frightened
But I've an unendurable sorrow! When I see my child
He is only five and still regular player in the world of toys.
We love him and the profundity of it only God knows
This divine child is being suffered from diabetic
And God knows it also. Every day he has to take insulin.
In piercing pain of syringe he wrinkles up and cries loudly
And goes to bed and lies alike dead, he can't go to school
And can't make friends with others and all along downcast!
This pathetic scene is seen by me.But why?
Hey God! You're deemed as kind in different Holy Scripture
And you're magnified as Super Power in Vedes, Torah, Tripitaka,
Bible, Quran and Guru Granth Sahib… If it is- -
Tell me when my child will come round? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll laugh? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll eat favorite sweets? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll play in joy? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll go to school? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll make friends? I can't bear more!
Tell me when he'll see sky? I can't bear more!
Hey God! Tell me! Tell me! And tell me!
I can't bear more! I can't bear more! And can't bear more!
