Father's Day (2) (A Good Son Saved His Father) Poem by U Win Kyi

Father's Day (2) (A Good Son Saved His Father)

There was a news about a son,
who did a thing so heart-warmed.
He was a 3rd year university student,
who made a decision unbent.
He donated part of his liver to his father,
who had a terminal stage of cirrhosis of liver.
The operation cost them NT$ 300 thousands.
70 thousands were donated by school-mates and friends,
another 100 thousands came from fund of the university,
which was very proud of him and gave him money willingly.

After surgery, he was cared in Intensive Care Unit.
He had 2nd operation because of severe peritonitis,
due to bile leak.
He was so weak,
but never regretted in the least,
though from school he had to take a one-year break

He gave his liver to his father to become a re-born Liver (a living person) .
His father was a poor plumber but he had his son...a true treasure.

(based on true story)
