Fear Poem by Saurav Sudhir

Fear

For when I sleep, I sleep in fear
To lose everyone to me, all dear.
The stars that shine don't shine too bright,
For darkness wanders to cover the fright.

Many a night go sleepless with thought,
Despite all trials that have so been fought.
A justice with no jury,
Fear stays dark with compassionate glory.

A warm tear can sooth the eye,
But the heart is what fear makes die.
An unknown abyss of sorrow trails,
Making difficult even the shedding of scales.

The dusk that dawns rises the dread,
For the stale dawn has prepared its daily bread.
Fear steers to devour each shred,
For fear is fear only when it is spread.
