Fear Poem by Draven Cestodio

Fear

Will you freeze? and let yourself be taken.
Will your breath stop? Or your eyes gloss over?
My heart stops and I cannot move.
The shadows walk behind me. Their breathing slow and tickling.
I shudder as I feel them close the space between us.
The sounds of pain to come waiting beneath the surface.
Fear thickening the air making it hard to think.
Then lips against my ear. My heart in my throat.
They asked if i feared and i could not answer.
Before i could find my voice they made whispered promises.
All i could do was stand still and wait. Wait for it to end.
A sharp pain then darkness all around. I would never wake the same again.
