Fear & Trembling

Before creation falls apart –Rev.6: 13-14
As now the end draws nigh –Rev.22: 12
If Christ is not within your heart –Rev.3: 20
Repent before you die –Rev.20: 15

Not only man may tremble here
The Lord has all in view
Heaven as earth, have need to fear –Hag.2: 6
As God makes all things new

If angels have to face The Lord
If such can lose their place –Jude: 6
What chance has man to flee the sword
Without God’s saving grace

That here on earth His will be done
His glory all would see
God chose as Lamb His only Son
Should die to set us free

Heed all the bible has to say
Each word The Truth’s embraced
Prepare to meet your God today –Am.4: 12
Let not a moment waste

Salvation’s more than in some pew
The church is not the cure
But who obey and God’s will do –Jas.1: 22-25
Are by their faith secure

Obey, seek out the sheep yet lost –Lk.19: 10
Pour forth The Truth as wine –Mt.28: 19-20
Show love to all, count not the cost –Lk.10: 33-35
Oil lamps outside to shine –Isa.60: 1

In Christ it’s time to turn the tide
To set more captives free
More sinful eyes to open wide
God’s living Truth to see…

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;
