Fearful Eyes Poem by Seamus Shaneous

Fearful Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Don’t ever fear the worst
Just get it off your chest
No one is fearless with everything
You can only do your best

I am afraid of some things
Outside you cannot tell
I’m afraid to be alone
But I stay inside my shell

Sometimes you have to sacrifice
You give before you can get
It took years and tears to learn these things
But now I’ll never forget

This is why I believe in you
You were stronger that I could be
I’ve learned a lesson from my mistakes
But learning is what sets you free

Nobody can feel your feelings
Believe me, that’s one thing I know
If you don’t ever express yourself
The bad feelings will never go

I’ve learned to deal with pain
You just have to be yourself
You need to smile and laugh at things
Or kiss goodbye your health

Whether my presence was here or not
I’ve been with you right from the start
I keep a place so special for you
I keep you in my heart

Really simple in rythme and rhyme but it it works really well, great sentiment and insight in this poem. Enjoyed it, Seán
