Fearless Poem by R.Benjamin Abate

Fearless

I let the spiders crawl on my skin
It feels nice to feel needed
By the source
But of course, you knew
Skip skip over the snakes
Tip over the barrel
Bourbon forsaken
You watched it pour on out
All of your love has gone away
But you let go of fear
Death doesn't shoot a flare
There is no warning
There is no warming our hearts
Where have you gone
Hiding away at home
Where is your mind
Have you ever known
Someone pinch me
I get sucked into my device
Just a prisoner
of our own vice
All of your love has gone away
But you let go of fear
Death doesn't shoot a flare
There is no warning
There is no warming our hearts
You made it
But what does it
All mean
When you gave yourself
Things weren't what
They seemed
& Now you're all alone
But we'll all be
At the end of the dream
