Feathery Dreams Poem by Prayag Saikia

Feathery Dreams

The fledglings are out of their nests.

With an ancient quill,
the amanuensis of time waits,

The world glitters
with growing plumage.

From old scrolls,
winged predecessors move.

Behind
myth and legend,
yonder
feathery dreams,
for the firmament.

Will there be an odyssey (?)
Preparation starts
in a crowded harbour
to find a home
in the zenith.
