Feel It For Yourself Poem by Sugar Bear

Feel It For Yourself

Rating: 5.0

Hear my words
Stop hearing them from someone else
Feel my burn
Stop feeling it from everyone else
And start feeling it for yourself

You think you know
But you have no idea
You’re trying to show
That you know how I feel
But you’re lost
Like everyone else
Stuck in the frost
Unable to melt and free yourself

What if I called you?
Every word that you called me
Would it even hurt you?
The way that it’s hurt me
Put yourself in my position
Try to see it like I saw
Try to force out your attention
When you feel you’ve lost it all
Try to make yourself fine
Try to make it out alright
Try to see when you’re blind
And unable to sleep at all at night
Try to find a shoulder to lean on
For strength each and every day
Cause the one you used to be on
Let you fall flat on your face
Now try to make you smile
Be happy as a bee
Flying for miles and miles
Looking for your honey tree

You think you know
But you have no idea
You’re trying to show
That you know how I feel
But you’re lost
Just like everyone else
You’re stuck in the frost
Unable to melt and free yourself

Now try to follow me
Let me push you out the way
Let me tell you that you’re pestering me
Let me hate you to your face
Let me see you down in public
Let me just walk by
Let me not ever try to attempt
To help you while you cry
Let me trick you into friendship
Let me keep you on the side
Let me tell you to mind your business
Let me leave you out my life
Wouldn’t these small things feel huge?
If I did a single one of them to you
Wouldn’t you be confused?
If I’m a friend that you should loose
But you’re still trying to keep us going
But I’m not noticing a thing
And know you’re knowing
How it feels to be like me

You think you know
But you have no idea
You’re trying to show
That you know how I feel
But you’re lost
Just like everyone else
You’re stuck in the frost
Unable to melt and free yourself

Hear my words
Stop hearing them from someone else
Feel my burn
Stop feeling it from everyone else
And start feeling it for yourself
