Feel not the autumn
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
A morning
How pleasant, how vibrant
How glowing before you imagine
You are unto noon and how bright
How flashing and how scorching
That before you endear it is evening
Like bubbles like dreams they are
That before they are born they are gone
Fleeting and transient as light
They come and vanish from your sight
I ask nothing, I care nothing
I hope nothing, I expect nothing
But one thing I wish
That the mien along with you
Should carry spring
Try within to brighten
The dejected feeling
Renew your mind's cheerful lighting
Wayward fortune and fretful passion are
But can't defeat a cheerful being
And if need be count on me
For I am the King of Heaven
I am taking your woes unto me
I am your Saviour
Turn to me, doubt not
Before your youth shall wither, know me…….
Beautiful and positive poem. Very true said, one should remove the dejected feeling and renew the mind with cheerful lightings. Happiness lies within and it has to be seek within. Thoughtful write. Loved reading it. Thanks for sharing with us.
Try within to brighten The dejected feeling so well expressed poet, happiness is to be sought and discovered within only.
A powerful exhortation not to yield to melancholy or dejection however hard life may be! Beautifully put!
