Feeling Lucky Poem by Priscilla Monroy

Feeling Lucky

Rating: 4.8

I smell the air I touch the grass I want to roll around in it
I see the blue sky and the white clouds
I want to touch them if only I could
I feel a tickle in my heart when I hear the my children laugh
I want to hug them so tightly
I look at them in awe they truly need me they give me purpose
I look at you and smile because you love me
And I you, always have but not always the same
I look at my family and feel lucky to have them all
And to have known and loved the ones who aren’t here anymore
I feel like the luckiest person in this world
Sometimes we just need to stop and look around and be grateful for what we already have and stop worrying about what we don’t

that is true; every single person can hate something about their life and envy others and say that they wish they had more...but in all honesty-they have EVERYTHING THEY COULD EVER NEED & MUCH MORE.
