Fickle Minded Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Fickle Minded

Pain was self-inflicted pain,
change of mind again and again.
She never knew lasting devotion
brief encounters brought casual emotion.

Tears were self-inflicted tears
flirtatious and fickle through the years
'together forever' diminished with time
an unhappy sign upon cloud nine.

A kiss, forgotten moment of bliss
with a lack of desire to reminisce;
although not certain which way to go...
her answer was always 'no-no-no'.
