Fight For Life Poem by Elizabeth Shadows

Fight For Life

</>Full darkness falls
New moon in the sky
alighted with stars
Not to be seen
Mind scrapped and scarred
brused and battered

As the beat of the bass plays
Feet floating
To the flow of the music
Swaying mass
As the grass in a scarlet meadow
Massive hypnotism
A sea of people,
Rocking,
Hoping to stay a float
To find their place
The world indifferent to them.

Feeling abused
As one may feel,
Heart being slashed by a knife
And being sickened
Depression falling over
Grief slipping and seeps
Into the unknown,

One with cold eyes
Knows all and see everything
But to not feel and care
Their heart as cold as a glacier
Only to have one dropp of water
And to break down
Their world shattered
Their mind barriers fail
Broken out
Out of its shell
To be heard
But not to be understood.
The wound exposed once again
Not to be covered, concealed, or forgotten
But healed in slow progress
To be another scar
One of good and hope
Only to be seen

As light is upon
Dawn breaking
The shadows and darkness
Falling back
To the cracks and creeps
Of the crust of the earth
Hidden away
Until a new night
When the war still rages.
