Fight Night Poem by Carla Kitts

Fight Night

Blood running down the side of my face
I won't run because you would give chase
I won't cry
Not for you, because I would rather die
I won't flinch as you punch me again and again
I forget how I got myself into this situation I'm in
You just want to cause me pain
Not quite sure what from it that you will gain
You cut my arms and ripe out my long hair
But go ahead I don't care
Hurt me go right ahead
I know the names of the people who would miss me if I were dead
I won't show fear
And I will not beg or plea for my life my dear
I won't beg for my life
As you bury in me your already blood stained knife
You can ruin my body, and take my life
with your hatred and your knife
But I won't cry and I won't ever beg or plea for you
You can kill me fast or kill me slow do whatever you want to do
Because I already know the people who will come after you
If you contiue
Walk away, let me go
You really don't want my loved one after you if you don't know
Everything you do to me
They'll do it three times worse to you, just wait and see
So do what you want to do
But if they find you I wouldn't want to be you
