Fighting A Loosing Battle! Poem by Emma Jane Rae

Fighting A Loosing Battle!

I knew it wouldn't be long,
till you did it again to me,
why am i so thick?
why do i never see?
i never see,
untill it's too late,
you dangle me like a fish,
that is hooked onto your bait!
see i thought you had found,
that learning curve,
but you don't have the bottle,
you haven't got the nerve,
tonight it was dark,
and i was on my own,
to stand up to them yobs,
but you never helped, you have no back-bone,
they surrounded me,
they could've had knives,
no-one could be certain,
you didnt even come out,
you just hid behind the curtain,
i had to fight alone,
win or loose,
you never helped me,
i had no choice to choose,
do you know what,
this relationships a joke,
your just a weak pathetic,
excuse for a bloke,
see i don't need you,
i can fight my own battles,
i dont have the need to lie,
or tell tittle- tattles,
so what would you have done,
if they'd smashed my face in?
through twitching the curtain,
said you hadn't seen?
once again you wern't there,
when i needed you most,
so go tell ya mates: go on boast,
boast about what a hard man you are,
when your sipping on alcopops at the bar,
i dont think you know me at all,
may as well bag my head against a brick wall,
i'd get more sensethan i do from you,
your so stupid, you dont understand what you do,
all you were interested in was gettin down the pub,
i'm sorry that it's come to this,
but that just aint enough! !
