Filtering Ideas Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Filtering Ideas

Rating: 4.5

Needing rhythms to touch my mind incessantly, giving
inspiration to poetry which I am constantly writing.

Taking me into outer dimensions of my mind, filtering
ideas from them into intellect.

There they combine and create inventive and new ways
of interpreting things I've always been thinking about.

Always thinking outside the box, never at a loss to
find an unceasing flow of verse from an inner waterfall,
constant and poetical.

Good. I like to know how others begin composing a poem. We should, I think, not only try to find verbal parallels for our fleeting reactions, mental and emotional, but also seek other versions of feelings, ideas, fancies. Glad you have said you wait for 'rhythms to touch your mind incessantly'. I have a similar urge. Thanks. AM
