Finger Tip To Finger Tip Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Finger Tip To Finger Tip

Rating: 2.7

If my eyes were flowers
they'd bloom
in your view;
my hands
extensions of
your sky blue
eyes.

If walking
is common place
not so now
for each step
draws near our wedding day.

I lay down in the creek bed
and the Water Bliss
washes over me.

My crown
of Fleur de Lis
harbors the sounds of birds singing.

Light my footsteps,
long my faith
ever extending
this road we take
and that
is all the meaning
I need
in this life;
you and I
finger tip
to
finger tip
souls
embraced.
I do.
